Gray Fox

2006 Rescue & Release

This Gray Fox kit was orphaned when stray dogs killed his mother. She was moving him across a road when she was attacked. Rescued by a passing driver who saw the fight, the little kit is being rehabilitated by MWR volunteer Ronelle May, who says this fox has a tree he climbs every day in his cage and he uses a litter box. He loves to eat persimmons. MWR volunteers currently have their hands full feeding, housing and medically treating 30 baby Raccoons, 1 Barred owl, 1 Peregrine falcon, 2 Barn owls, 1 baby Opossum, 1 Thrasher, 1 nestling Finch, 1 coyote, 5 nestling Barn Swallows, 1 Fledgling Great Horned Owl, 1 mystery nestling, 1 Skunk and 2 Gray Foxes.
