Statement of Purpose
 

Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation Inc.

A 501 C(3) organization dedicated to caring for orphaned and injured native species of wildlife in Mississippi

Purposes and programs of the organization and those for which funds are solicited:

  • Rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned naturally occurring species of wild animals of the State of Mississippi
  • Education of the public toward the appreciation, humane, wise use, and conservation of our environment, raises public awareness of man’s role in connection with wildlife and the consequences of this interaction
  • Education programs to educate those in the community interested in conservation and preservation
  • Conducting scientific research and education to further the field of wildlife rehabilitation, collecting species-specific data
  • Protection of plant, animal, nature, and environmental habitats
  • Other programs to promote the preservation of the environment, flora and fauna necessary to insure continued natural populations of wildlife

Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation, Inc. is the only state-licensed facility for wildlife rehabilitation in Northern Mississippi. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the following Mississippi counties: Alcorn, Benton, Bolivar, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Itawamba, LaFayette, Lee, Lowndes, Marshall, Oktibbeha, Panola, Prentiss, Tallahatchie, Tishomingo, Warren, Yalobusha. MWR relies solely on the generous donations of people like you - we receive no federal, state or municipal funding and all of our staff are unpaid volunteers. Your donations provide us with the means to continue helping the animals. All donations are tax-deductible and go directly towards helping the animals!
