Athena

Athena was hatched at World Bird Sanctuary (WBS) in St. Louis, MO in the spring of 2021. Every year WBS breeds barn owls for release in areas of MO where they are scarce. As part of their breeding program, they also reserve a small number of birds to be transferred to other organizations to be used as education ambassadors for their species and the environment. Athena was transferred from WBS to MWR in September, 2021.
